- Anachronism Stew: A deliberate example - the author combined the Jiufotang and Yizian Formations together so that he wouldn't have to write another episode to rescue creatures from the former. So we have Microraptor living side by side with Yutyrannus.
- Named by the Adaptation: The pterosaurs Nigel encountered in the original series at the lake were never named. Here, they're Guidraco
