The Electabuzz has been on a losing streak since their star pitcher, Corey Demario, got injured, and Casey is bummed over her team's misfortune. Suddenly, she runs into Corey trying to get his Charizard, Don, to breathe fire again. After learning they're both in a slump, she makes it her mission to get their fire back!

- Ascended Fangirl: Casey gets to meet the star pitcher of her favorite team and she motivates him back into playing.
- Book Ends: The episode opens with Casey watching an Electabuzz game with bases loaded, bottom of the ninth, and the team one strike away from victory, which they don't get and lose. The ending features the same set up, but this time Corey is pitching and successfully earns his team the win.
