- Fakin' MacGuffin: Nya manages to retrieve the Storm Amulet from Kalmaar, or so they believe.
- New Powers as the Plot Demands: Nyad could command sea creatures, and so can Nya. It's implied that that its something specific to their strength level, and that other Masters such as Maya would have been incapable of it.
