Bambang studies for the university entrance exam, but he is distracted by the idea of earning money from blood donation. Alan stops selling pirated DVD and looks for a new job. Prima struggles living with minimum money and no motorcycle.
This episode provides examples of:
- Big "WHAT?!": Slamet shouts a big "What?!" upon hearing that Bambang missed the entrance exam, followed by two random watchmen also shouting "What?!" upon hearing Slamet's reaction.
- Comically Missing the Point: After running a long distance to the filming location, Prima asks for a deodorant from Mami Bibir. Since Bambang and an extra accuses her of having smelly feet, Mami Bibir takes it as a stealth-insult and leaves angrily, confusing Prima who clearly just wants to clear up his own odor.
- Double Meaning: Bambang hears that a blood donor gets money after going to a blood donation. It's only after Bambang doesn't get any money that it's revealed that the donor gets the money not from the donation itself, but from one of the nurse buying his plant.
- Four Lines, All Waiting: The episode splits itself cleanly into Bambang's, Alan's and Prima's plot, with the only intersection is Prima joining the blood donation (because of the free food) that Bambang enters before they go separate way again.
- Men Don't Cry: Defied. Bambang wipes his tears when Melani sees him about to cry because of this trope. Melani tells him it's okay and she prefers men who are honest about their feelings.
- Metaphorically True: When getting pulled over for disregarding traffic rules, Prima claims to the officer that his mother was hysterical so he has to hurry. The first part is made up, but it's kind of true if you think of Mami Bibir as his mother figure and how furious she will be if he comes late to the shooting location.
- Short Cuts Make Long Delays: Prima tries to avoid traffic by driving against a one-way street. Naturally, he gets pulled over by the police, gets a ticket and he has to walk to his destination.
- Tempting Fate: After missing out the exam, Bambang assures himself that he still can find a way to bring his father's message to Maudy Koesnaedi. Then he notices the box containing the message is missing.
