Tensions rise among the students after Alaric decides to give the students a bigger voice by forming an honor council. Determined to find out more about Landon's past, Hope does a series of magical tests on him. Meanwhile, Alaric and Dorian take on the next creature to try and find out what they want and where they are coming from.
- Plant Person: A dryad tries to take the knife but ends up being trapped by Dorian. She's the first monster willing to talk, so Alaric and Dorian try to find out why they want the knife. This is when they first learn of something called Malivore.
- Ret-Gone: The dryad is heartbroken to learn that her vampire lover doesn't remember her, as if she never existed. Alaric and Dorian realize it has something to do with Malivore.
