Olga tells Wally that he uses his brain too much and suggests to take up running until he regains the taste for life. Wally puts on a red cap, gets up from the bench, and follow Olga's advise. He continues running for a long time, going past his surprised friends, continuing his run both day and night, during the heat and in the rain, past the sea, through the forest and a wheat field. Wally has completely forgotten why he started running and does so just for the sake of running. His friends prepare him a finish line near his house and a table with papers, so he could stop running and write a masterpiece. Suddenly, Rosa informs them that Wally has disappeared.
Time passes; winter comes. KikoRiki are sitting inside Carlin's house and listen to an interview on the radio with the winner of the marathon, who turns out to be Wally. He tells the announcer that in he writes poetry in between runs.
Tropes:
- Accidental Athlete: Wally isn't known for being into sports, and only started running to take a break from poetry. He eventually forgets that he was doing to get some inspiration back, runs away from his homeworld and wins the marathon to the shock of his friends.
- Continuity Nod: While running, Wally jumps over the well from "All Alone". It is also shown that Krash was stuck here when this happened. The ending of that episode showed Krash going to the same forest Chiko was in to repeat his friend's adventure.
- Shout-Out: The whole episode is one big reference to the Forrest Gump’s run. Wally wears a red cap simular to that of Gump, starts running non-stop, eventually doing it just for the sake of running, and at one point Chiko exclaims "Run Wally, run." to him.
