Mira is a female User, and her real name is still unknown. She is defiant towards Tron, and wary around other programs because of the way she was treated when she was younger.

When she first reached the Grid she was found by Sirens who gave her an Identity Disk and left her on the streets to fend herself. About a year after that she was found by Castor (She doesn't know at the time he is Zuse), and he gives her a chance to learn more about the Grid. Two years of training she decides to explore the Grid and see if there is a way to find Flynn.

When she was nine she was captured by Rinzler and sent to the games. Rinzler tortured her for about two more years before Quorra rescued her from an early demise. For the next four years Mira spent her time with Quorra, learning how to fight and defend herself. When Mira was fifteen she decided to leave Quorra when the occupation began taking over the cities, fearing that her friend would be captured by Clu's guard.

The last city Mira stayed in before reaching Argon was Bismuth. She spent most of her time in hiding, fearing that programs would know she was different and send her to Clu's general.

Mira fled to Argon City after Bismuth was taken over by the occupation. She spent about a year in hiding before deciding to visit the garage one day. Then she meets Bodhi, who is the first to recognize that she might need help. Bodhi tells her that Able is in the garage, where she can get her light cycle checked. After she wanders inside she finds Able and asks if he can get it fixed. It had malfunctioned when she was fleeing from a group of soldiers a few cycles before.

While Able was fixing her light cycle Tesler arrived in the city, announcing that it was now occupied territory. Panicking, Mira told Able that she would take her light cycle as it was. But Able saw right through her, and told her that it wasn't safe to leave with Tesler's soldiers in the streets. After Bodhi is derezzed Beck and his friends return to the garage, and that is when he meets Mira. The two don't get along at first, until Mira admits that she wants revenge on Clu as well. They team up for the first time and work together to behead Clu's statue.

After they flee from Paige and the other soldiers, they are caught by a black guard who is disguised as Rinzler. Mira points this out, and the program immediately recognizes that something is not right. The black guard eventually decides to take her to a safer place where they can talk. Mira is reluctant to follow after what he did to Beck, but she decides that she has no choice.

When she follows the black guard into what appears to be a safehouse, the guard reveals himself as Tron, protector of the Grid. Mira points out that she thought he was dead, and Tron admits that Clu left him unable to fight back. He tells Mira that she must stay in the safehouse, where she cannot be harmed. Reluctantly Mira agrees, realizing that it is better to stay with a skilled warrior than stay out on her own.

Tron knows that she is a User, and that he will protect her even though he failed to protect the Grid.
