Robert is waiting for mailman Mr. MacRooney to deliver a surprise from his cousin Mateo. To pass the time, Barney teaches the kids about the post office and helps them make cookies for Mr. MacRooney. When Mr. MacRooney finally arrives, he has mail for everyone... except Robert. His initial dampened spirits are turned around when Mateo shows up to visit in-person.
