Recap / Ace Savvy Caseofthe Mysterious Gambler

Go To

In an alternate universe where Ace Savvy is real and he and Lincoln are the same person, the alternate Louds fight off a bank robber named Tony Maroney and then enjoy the privilege of getting free food because they're superheroes. Then, they go home, where it's revealed that in this universe, the Louds are rich, and the Mcbrides live together because of their house burned down, and that the kids became superheroes after their grandma (on Rita's side) was killed by someone unknown.

After some scenes at school (where Lincoln's friends are in awe of him being rich, but Chandler is scornful) and the Louds and Mcbrides' library, we learn that several companies are going bankrupt and several people are now inexplicably poor.

The superhero gang (known as the Full House Gang), suspecting foul play, talk to one of the people who became poor, the car part salesman named Steve from Vantastic Voyage, but he refuses to give information lest "they" find him. This confuses the Full House Gang, since they think Steve would have already been arrested had he committed any crime. They ask some of the people at the homeless shelter who have recently become homeless, but all of them act evasive.

A man then tells the Full House Gang that he had a run-in with Tony Maroney who mentioned he was gambling, suggesting that he's been gambling people out of their money. However, Ace/Lincoln is suspicious since that isn't what Maroney usually does, so they look up his crime record and find that he doesn't usually gamble.

This makes the gang wonder if Maroney is in on it but working with someone else, so they look up his associates and end up in a fight with a few of them. However, none of them are the culprit; all of them used to work for Maroney but quit. One of them, however, gives them a lead-in and mentions that the bad guys will be in a warehouse. The Full House Gang goes to a warehouse and fights with Maroney and his partner and they manage to get Maroney arrested, but the partner escapes.

After finding out that Duds for Dudes went out of business, Lisa/Card Counter invents more weapons, and the Full House Gang meets another of Maroney's thugs, who reveals that he doesn't know who the partner is but he knows there's a hideout at an old steel mill. At the steel mill, they fight off more thugs and meet face-to-face with the Gambler, who turns out to have been Chandler, who wanted to be rich because he felt like Lincoln and Clyde's wealth made less-wealthy kids like him look like losers. They get into another fight, during which Chandler acquires short-term memory loss, which luckily prevents him from finding out about the Full House Gang, and the bad guys get arrested. Then, the gang has fun at a pool party.
