Johnson laughed. He was exalting in the sweet pain as the carapace grew from his chest. The bullets poked out and fell to the ground. His wrists twisted and bony knives slid from their fleshy sheaths, dripping with strange fluids.
Macintyre just stared. Johnson was turning into a monster before his eyes - and he was enjoying it.
