Basic Trope: Someone doesn't like being referred to by a nickname.
- Straight: Elizabeth only likes people to refer to her by her full name, and is annoyed when people call her Liz.
- Exaggerated: Elizabeth wants to be referred to on a Full-Name Basis, as she thinks just using her first name counts as a nickname.
- Downplayed: Elizabeth is okay with being called Eliza for the sake of convenience, but she prefers when people use her full name.
- Justified:
- Elizabeth finds shortening her name to be disrespectful.
- Elizabeth thinks "Liz" is an Embarrassing Nickname.
- Elizabeth just likes the sound of her full name better.
- Elizabeth doesn't think she's close enough to anyone in the group for them to start nicknaming them.
- Elizabeth already knows someone named Liz, so she finds it confusing when they nickname her and would prefer if they didn't.
- Inverted: Elizabeth only wants to be called "Liz" and doesn't like when people use her full name.
- Subverted: When Elizabeth is called "Lizzy", she reacts with frustration. It turns out that she doesn't like that nickname in specific, but is okay with "Eliza" or "Liz".
- Double Subverted: Over time, she gets more used to hearing her full name and only wants to be called that.
- Parodied: Elizabeth goes into a blind, destructive rage solely over being called a nickname.
- Zig-Zagged: Elizabeth's opinions on nicknames vary; she's okay with being called her full name, hates "Lizzy" unless Spencer is calling her it, likes "Eliza", but doesn't like "Liz".
- Averted: Elizabeth is neutral towards nicknames.
- Enforced: Elizabeth is snobby and uptight, and having her correct characters who weren't trying to be disrespectful shows this fact.
