Heartwarming / H₂O: Just Add Water

• The friendship between the girls. Indeed, in the first episode, when Emma and Rikki test out their swimming in the tails, we see both of them bonding and having fun. There's even a cute moment where Rikki waves to her from a coral reef.
• Lewis helping Cleo instantly, despite being freaked out by her transformation.
  • Come to think of it, Lewis' unconditional support for Cleo at all times. He's the only one who argues in her favor when Cleo adamantly opposes a birthday party arranged by her father as he knows she hates those parties, and he cheers on Cleo for her singing when everyone else makes fun of her.
• Emma buying Rikki the concert tickets she wanted, reconciliating after their argument.
• Zane finding Rikki in the burning forest on Mako Island during a rather catastrophic full moon night, and despite the fire around them and his usually not being on good terms with the girls, he sits and talks to her to make sure she is okay. It's one of the earlier signs of Zane not being all that much of an asshole.
  • Another moment for Zane and Rikki when they accidentally end up locked out on a balcony; they spend some time bonding as they talk about their difficult familial relationships, and Rikki helps Zane work through his fear of heights.
• In "In Too Deep", Zane buys a pretty red dress that he had seen Rikki admiring, that she had quickly dismissed as not being able to afford. She sincerely loves it and hugs him thanks.
  • And when she has her She Cleans Up Nicely moment at the dinner, although Emma is antagonistic to her, her parents immediately compliment her. Lisa Squees "Rikki, you look lovely" and Neil says "very glamorous".
• Harrison has a Heel Realization at the end of Season 1 and seems to be making an effort to be a better father to Zane.
• At the beginning of Season 2 episode "Fire and Ice", Lewis and Cleo hang out at Cleo's house, and for the first time since their breaking up, they are friendly with each other without a trace of awkwardness, and Cleo manages to openly talk about the reasons why their relationship didn't work out at the time.
  • "Get off my Tail" has them reunite and finally spend some time together again. Considering how Charlotte's behavior has gotten very controlling and borderline abusive of Lewis at that point, all but cutting off his contact to other friends than her, it's nice to see the contrast, how relaxed and well he seems to feel with Cleo.
• After Elliot was heartbroken by Rikki's rejection in Season 1, they seem to have become friends by Season 2, Rikki watching his soccer matches and hanging out with him.
