Food
This was something that was bothering me as a kid when i watched this cartoon - why this castaways can't just get some fruits (bananas, coconuts, pineaples etc.) if they're so hungry? The island has a lot of trees, so it's possible that they're some banana trees on the island that grow some juicy bananas to eat. After all, Bugs somehow survived on the island and didn't become crazy like these two at the end of the short. Do these two eat no food made of plants at all, only the food that is made of meat? Getting off the island
As mentioned above, the island has trees to build the raft or use it as material for a bonfire, which will later be used to send smoke signals to passing planes or ships passing by the island. Assuming those guys didn't give up.
