  • Palpatine's physically horrid treatment of Vader in Issue 6. He isn't usually this way with Vader in Canon, preferring verbal and psychological tormenting instead. In fact, the destruction of the Death Star had him just chew Vader out and demote him. Why wasn't he that physically abusive back then?
    • Because Palpatine recognizes that the Anakin side of Vader is starting to resurface and reacted as much out of fear as furious anger.
