  • DS9 is a Bajoran space station led by a Federation Starfleet officer. Even with Quark not pressing charges, Brunt really has no basis in his high and mighty attitude; no matter how often he says he's from the FCA, the FCA itself has no authority on DS9.
    • This is acknowledged in the episode. Brunt admits that he has no official local authority, but the Ferengi workers have Ferengi finances, and he can attack those. The non-Ferengi have nothing to personally fear from him except the threat he poses to the union's solidarity.
  • In "Sons of Mogh," Worf's brother criticized his "comfortable" bed as very un-Klingon, and Worf countered that it suited his needs fine. Worf has also previously stated that everything in his quarters is put there for a specific purpose, so it's not by accident that Worf's bed was more comfortable than Klingon standards. In this episode, however, Worf settles into his new quarters by removing his mattress so he can sleep on the hard bunk plank. So does Worf ascribe to Klingon asceticism or not?
    • Considering the fact Worf came to the realization in "Sons of Mogh" that his living among humans has cost him his connection to Klingon culture, it's entirely possible the change in his bedding is a deliberate attempt on his part to try and reconnect with his people (or even a form of penance after what happened to Kurn).
