Why didn't Niina's mother do anything about the abuse?
- In episode 5, Niina lightly mentions that her acting teacher was a pedophile who went as far as to caress her leg in one instance. And yet despite that, the mother was implied to have some slight knowledge on what he was doing, and allowed the teaching to go on despite this?
- Because he was bestowing considerable preferential treatment on her daughter, he was extremely powerful and respected, and it was consensual... for a given value of the word at least. For the record, this is how most successful pedophiles get away with it for so long, and is thus far from unrealistic.
- Niina didn’t realize it was grooming and abuse until her teenage years realizing that was traumatic. Her mom likely thought nothing of her daughters lessons, especially if all she sees is her child being the best.
- As for telling her mom, Niina could be worried her mom won’t believe that it happened at all, or worse that believe her daughter to be at fault.
- She might also be a good parent and get her daughter some therapy at the very least. But unless both of them decide to press charges against him (which is something they would likely fear the consequences of) then he will stay a free man.
Why did Milo-Sensei think taking Hitoha to a love hotel was a good idea?
- He was thinking that by humiliating her, she'd back off. He was wrong.
- Their whole relationship was pretty much a giant game of sexual chicken, and the fact that he in many ways encouraged it suggests he enjoyed it on some level. Unfortunately like most games of chicken, it eventually went a bit too far. To be fair, despite his pretentions, Milo isn't that much more mature than Hitoha.
Who snitched on Sonezaki & Shun?
- Someone else in the area...another student, maybe a teacher. Who doesn't especially matter.
- The HBIC Megumi Asada found out someway and told the necessary people, why she would do it, she’s a mean girl and a bully.
Do Japanese schools really have that much power?
- Considering that there are some schools in America who will suspended students for their hair, it doesn’t surprise me. Imagine schools in America and multiply it by a million and you will get the average school in Japan.
- Schools especially private ones will have a lot of power no matter where you live.
