• In Episode 2, "Red Coast", Jack Rooney is introduced to the game helmet and gets cut down by the mysterious woman after a little while exploring the sensory environment of the game... then after an appropriate freakout at the experience, he puts it on again and gets his throat cut.
  Jack: "I could taste blood that time."
  • Later in Episode 2, Jack Rooney receives his own game helmet and puts it on. He is approached by his game's version of the Count of the West, represented as Thomas More... and proceeds to punch him in the face in retaliation for all the times he got booted. He even felt the impact of the punch on his hand.
• Episode 5, Thomas Wade's reaction to finally putting on the VR headset.
• In Episode 6, Raj comes to see Wade, who asks him to open a window. After struggling, Wade replies that "I know this one, it's sealed shut" and that this is a test to gauge what kind of response he'll have, if he breaks it, finds a tool, asks for help...and with a sigh, Wade walks over, unlatches the window and opens it while giving Raj a glare for overthinking a simple request. And at the end of the meeting, he tells Raj "close the window on your way out."
