• Saber's very transparent attempt to change the subject while discussing Mordred with Rin and Shirou, completely unbefitting of someone with rank B charisma.
  Saber: Oh look, an explosion. We should go and ensure that no one was injured.
• Rin is absolutely against the colour Zelretch has chosen for their faction, with the latter claims that it's not negotiable. She later has the bright idea to offer half of Saber's dinner to Ruler just to change it. The only thing is, she's outvoted as the new colour bothers her as much as the previous one.
• Atalanta has kitty ears. Atalanta will not let Mordred touch her kitty ears. Therefore, Mordred hates her.
• As in canon, when a woman gets trapped in Jack's world, Jack tries to turn her into their new mother. Unfortunately, Jack had the bad luck of trying this on Mordred. Mordred is so single-mindedly focused on finding her father that she just rampages through the horror show, ignoring all the rape and murder going on around her. Jack is left rather confused.
• Our first experience with Jack's world is absolutely horrifying—Fiore rescues a girl from a rapist, almost gets raped herself, and then the girl kills herself because she refuses to believe in the concept of kindness. It becomes Black Comedy in later chapters, as Rin and Saber have high enough magic resistance and combat ability that they just find everything weird and annoying.
• Kairi lets slip that Mordred is actually ten years old in order to get Atalanta to stick around. Mordred immediately demands to touch Atalanta's ears.
