Funny / From Here to Eternity

• One woman has the task of showing Prewitt around the New Congress Club and introduce him to various girls. He rather obviously stares at Lorene, and the woman has this fantastic snarky response:
  "As much as I adore your company, I hope I may be permitted to tear myself away. I've just spotted some friends at the door, and I can see I'll be of no further use to you."
• Maggio drunkenly bursting in on Prewitt and Alma's first date. Spotting a glass to pour bourbon into, he empties the contents out the window and then giggles "There's a cop down there!"
• The second time he does so is a little more serious, since he deserted guard duty.
  Prewitt: What are you doing in uniform?
  Maggio: I'm thinking of joining the army.
• Karen sassing her husband on who her new boyfriend is.
  "I wonder what's hurt more, your pride or your curiosity."
• Prewitt and Warden, both very drunk, become aware that they're sitting in the middle of a road...and start arguing about which one of them is more expendable and therefore should stay while the other moves. This segues into a heart-to-heart conversation... which is then interrupted by an angry truck driver.
