• The whole sequence where Lem is mistaken for a spy and captured by the US Army during World War II, then the boys make matters worse by firing the gun for six o'clock, convincing the army they're under attack.
  • "Holy jumpin' blue-eyed cows!" "What is it?" "It's a tank with a cannon on the front of it!" Followed by "Is that a real cannon?" *BOOM* "It's a real cannon, all right!"
• "Your Honour, I must protest!" "I suppose you must... but I do wish you wouldn't."
• The final scene.
• The scouts and their parents coming to convince Lem not to resign... only to find he's already decided not to through talking to Whitey.
