The Giraffe Luz talks to says that its people gave up eating souls centuries ago. That's all well and good...but humanity has known of giraffes for a lot longer than just centuries. How many people had their souls eaten before the species became vegetarians?!.
The Giraffe was filmed talking to Luz. People are going to want to see if any other giraffes are able to talk, and that is going to start a anti-zoo backlash against keeping Giraffes. Some zoos will be having flashbacks to the dark ages where they'd keep certain types of humans in zoos the same way, even if Giraffes mention they are cool with staying in zoos. And given that real life Giraffe numbers are plummeting....that could have consequences.
