- Arriman doesn’t have to marry a witch, he could marry a normal woman. But the chances of having a magical child are higher with a magical spouse than a normal one, so it has to be a witch.
- Arriman the Awful, while a master of black magic, is a fairly decent character. While this is normal for a children’s story, it may be better to have a good man in charge of black magic rather than an evil one.
- Also the reason why he's so well-adjusted? He was raised by loving parents that accepted his magical powers. This is also what Terrence needs, and fortunately for him he ends up Happily Adopted.
