Why doesn't Nowak help in the struggle against Calder, even though he was probably at least his equal in a fight? Nowak is still sticking to his original plan: discredit the idea of humanoid robots. If one robot goes rogue but another saves everyone from him, it can still become a point in favor of the robotics company. However, if one robot goes rogue and another does nothing to stop him, then the company can definitely say goodbye to humanoid robot production.
