• The twist makes no sense when you remember that Ryan was the one who suggested entering the school through the broken door later that night. Pfeifer and her mother played no role, even subconsciously, in him suggesting the scheme to Reese and Cassidy. However, the ending treats this like Pfeifer and her mother planned it from the start.
  • Perhaps Charlie overheard the teens planning to break in and relayed the information to Pfeifer and her mother somehow?
  • The implication This Troper got was that this was destiny, somehow, because his father was supposed to die not Charlie. Or, more precisely, Charlie is or was a psychopath and after he died he decided to set this up to make it so. The original plan was to just have Reese die like Charlie did the night of the play, but when he showed up with Ryan and Cassidy, well, Charlie just took it from there.
• How could Pfeifer be Charlie's daughter? That would make her either A) a 19-20-year-old who is still in high school or B) the product of ghost sex.
  • I thought it was fairly clear she was, like, twenty six and pretending to be a teenager in the first place.
• Surely someone would've recognized Alexis as Pfeifer's mother?
