Fridge Horror
- As their abortive "war drill" demonstrates, Del, Rodney and Grandad can't get very far in the four minutes they'd have before the missiles hit. However, they only even got as far as they did because they were the only people carrying out their drill. If everyone in Nelson Mandela House had been trying to evacuate at the same time, then the trio, plus anyone else on the higher floors would have been lucky to even get out of the building in the four minutes they had, meaning that at best they'd have been fully exposed to a nuclear bomb's thermal and radiation effects, and at worst, the blast would have completely obliterated the building, and the Trotters with it. The horror of the situation is then amplified when you realise just how many people lived in high-rise housing in major UK cities throughout the Cold War.
