- While the mother rocking her son seems sweet on paper, doing it when he's a grown man is kind of creepy because she's technically breaking into his house, and he has no idea she's doing it.
- The ending not only implies that the mother is dying, but that the grandma (who was sworn at when the son was nine) and the (cat? dog?) seen on his bed as a teenager are both already dead.
