Fridge Brilliance

  • During Episode 2, why does Zenichi take the fight under the water? Not only are Guardians known for their swimmming in game, but if the armor goes by Minecraft rules the Illager's armor is at a disadventage. Since Endermen hate the water, it'd make it hard to fight in an element the armor has a known weakness to.
  • Why is it Mikey's Card is the only one that can return to normal form and not the other mobs? Apart from the obvious Main Character Plot Armor, Mikey is the first ever sentient non-mob ever trapped into card form. The other cards are all mobs, and seeing as how you don't want an Endermen or Creeper getting out of Card Form. It's obvious the machine was designed to trap mobs and this was the first time a non-mob was trapped into it. The Illagers didn't count on that and assumed Mikey was a friendly mob.
  • During Episode 3, it seems rather odd that Mikage kills off one of his own right in front of Zenichi. But then you remember the fact that Zenichi got two cards from two other enemies by defeating them. This guy was trying to prevent Zenichi from getting a new form so he wouldn't lose another card.
    • It reads more into it after Episode 6 reveals Hinata and Mikage used to know each other in the past. Since the Illager that he gave the Zombie card used Hinata as bait for Maizen, Mikage was definitely angry at the zombie illager using her as bait.
  • In Episode 4, why is it that Maizen's Zombie form can turn others into Riders, while the other user of this card had to bite into his victims. It's a case of how often times there's good versions of a dark ability. The Illager Zombie user bit into helpless victims, while Maizen was worried about the innocent bystanders getting injured and wanted to protect them. It's also a case of how there's all kinds of Zombies in Minecraft, making it a versatile form.
  • Why is Zombie Form weaker during the day, but strong at night. It's because Zombies spawn the most during the night or dark places, and given that in-game they burn up, it'd make sense the zombie form would be weaker at day. It also makes sense that this card is a multi-form given that there's a ton of different zombie mobs in mincraft.
  • In #8, Maizen's Warden form uses drumstick-like weapons for its attacks. At first it seems like a shout-out to Kamen Rider Hibiki, but in actuality given the Warden uses soundwaves to locate it's players it's a perfect weapon for it. Drums make the loudest noise of all and drumsticks being it's main weapon is perfect.
  • In #10, we find out that Hinata is a Wisp. While unusual actually makes sense given that wisps are noticeably friendly to the players, and who takes the place of the player in this series is none other than Zen/Maizen.
    • It also adds to the reason why she's unable to be turned into a Zombie and instead making a copy of said Zombie Card. Wisps are good mobs in the game that collect things for the Player that said player has shown to them. What is the one thing that Zen has shown her a lot, but she hasn't been able to 'collect' for him? Cards.

Fridge Horror

  • The Zombie Card is just ripe with all kinds of Horror movie horror, given the fact that in game normal zombie attacks don't spread a virus, but this card's power does. The form it gives the Illager looks like a cross between someone who's alive and someone who's dead to the point you'd want the normal green zombie mob.
