Fridge Brilliance

  • The Shock pistols seen throughout the series being the primary dog weapon makes some degree of sense, especially if one assumes the humans do actually care about the dogs survival and safety. They need a weapon which can defend the Dogs in a serious situation, isn't so dangerous as to be a serious threat to the dogs themselves, and preferably doesn't require the manufacturing of ammunition, which would take up large amounts of space onboard. Hence the Shock Pistols, an energy based weapon, using readably available electricity, with a very simple operation, which would be fairly safe to use with proper training.

Fridge Horror

  • Garbage offhandedly mentions, during a negotiation with aliens, that humans have a habit of spaying/neutering dogs. Since the dogs have gained sapience for their mission, it's possible that some may have concern or dread about their reproductive organs being removed.
    • Hopefully that's based on memories of before they became sapient, although even then It'd still be a bit disturbing.
  • Kira, when faced with a "dream" of what she wants most decides she might as well shoot the the dogs, just how many times did she have a dream like that? To the point where she'd do that without a second thought.
  • It's never confirmed how long it would have taken the Schmoops to render the dogs into happiness zombies. Garbage was resisting because he said that he wanted Schmoop-Chelsea to meet the real Chelsea because he's convinced the Schmoops can help the humans, but what about Chonies or Ed? They didn't suspect anything.
    • It's also implied that the Schmoops knocked out communications to the ship either with the atmosphere or their powers. Loaf was frantically trying to reach the team before the transmission went out.
  • The season finale implies that the sapience machine doesn't remove the dog's awareness that they lost their sapience. Ed and Stella were able to help Happy navigate through the vents to find Kira and adjust the machine. No wonder Stella was mad at Kira when the latter was discharged, since the latter ordered her to sit, and Stella was compelled to obey.
