Fridge Brilliance

• Some events in the game make sense if we interpret them as taking place after the movie:
  • Hercules is still a mortal, but he clearly shows his post-training looks and he's aware of the life lesson he learnt on the brink of death to become a true hero.
    • He also doesn't seem particularly jarred by his off-screen battle with the Giants. His experience with the Titans probably came in handy to handle creatures of similar size and power.
  • Hades is still running the Underworld, but Zeus doesn't seem surprised when he finds out that his brother is scheming something. On the contrary, everybody doesn't take him seriously, possibly because he no longer has the means to be an actual cosmic threat (to the point that entering his throne room with Zeus' bolts makes him panic). Hercules also laughs in his uncle's face when the latter pops up in the Fates' eye, something he never did in the movie.
  • Hades states in the introduction video that Hercules was an exception to the many hero-wannabes who failed their quest,
  • The Cyclops attacks the player in the Underworld level, implicating that he's indeed kicked the bucket in the movie.
  • The Thebans who mocked Hercules early in the movie appear from time to time on Crete, hinting that they moved there.
  • The Minotaur is still on large on Crete, which means he survived his battle with Hercules. The same applies to "Medusa" (who in the series is actually her elder sister Stheno).
