• When Birch reads the Allmusic review of the album, take a shot.
  • Take another shot if the reviewer is Allmusic founder Stephen Thomas Erlewine.
    • When he reads the review from the book "1001 Albums" specifically, take two shots.
• If a panelist calls one of the albums a masterpiece, take a shot.
  • If a panelist comes right out of the gate hating an album, take two shots.
    • If it's Rob, take two more.
• Take a shot each time a song from the album plays.
• When a snippet from one of Robert Christgau's reviews is spoken, take two shots.
• If a panelist votes positive on an album, take a shot. If they go neutral, take two shots, and if they go completely negative, take three shots.
  • Take two shots if it's positive all around, four shots if it's neutral, and six shots if everyone's negative.
• If there is audible excitement from the others after hearing what the next album they'll be talking about is, take two shots.
