Corrected missing "o" in "Ragnarok" under Dwemer "Eternal Engine" entry

* EternalEngine: Much of their machinery is still up and running even some 4000+ years after their disappearance. It helps that they were believed to have bent the laws of nature to Ragnark-proof their creations, Justifying the trope.

* OffingTheOffspring: According to some sources, they practice infanticide of disabled children, as their belief in reincarnation means they believe this releases the child's soul to be reborn in a better form. Most of these sources are undoubtably exaggerated; the Pocket Guide to the Empire suggests they have human-like birth rates but kill 9 out of 10 of their children, which is unlikely for logistical reasons if nothing else.

* OffingTheOffspring: According to some sources, they practice eugenic infanticide of disabled children, children with "undesirable traits", as their belief in reincarnation means they believe this releases the child's soul to be reborn in a better form. Most of these sources are undoubtably exaggerated; the notably humanity biased Pocket Guide to the Empire suggests they have human-like birth rates but kill 9 out of 10 of their children, which is unlikely for logistical reasons if nothing else.

* AncestorVeneration: A trait adopted from the ancient Aldmer, who had significant ancestor worship as a religious practice. As Aldmeri society evolved, commoners stopped worshiping their own ancestors and began worshiping the ancestors of their social "betters", elevating them to the level of gods through collective adulation. Trinimac was one such ancestor. After being eaten and excreted by Boethiah, Trinimac would become the Daedric Prince Malacath.

* AncestorVeneration: A trait adopted carried over from the ancient Aldmer, who had significant practiced ancestor worship as a religious practice. As Aldmeri society evolved, commoners stopped worshiping their own to the point where there was functionally no distinction between gods and particularly venerated ancestors; the term 'Aedra', used to mean the gods the Aldmer/Altmer worshipped, literally means 'Our Ancestors'. While the pantheon was based on the et'Ada who helped create the world (which is what the term 'Aedra' is usually used for in the present), new Aedra were added from the ranks of noble Aldmer whose ancestors and began worshiping were also worshipped by common Aldmer, the ancestors of their social "betters", [[GodNeedsPrayerBadly elevating them to the level of gods through collective adulation. Trinimac adulation making them actual gods]]. The best-known of these was one such ancestor. After Trinimac, knight of Auri-el, often credited with killing Lorkhan but best-known for being eaten and excreted by Boethiah, Trinimac would become corrupted into the Daedric Prince Malacath.Malacath after an unfortunate run-in with Boethiah.

* OurGodsAreDifferent: The primary reasons the other Elvish races split from the Altmer were over worship, with the Altmer worshipping the Aedra. Their religious pantheon would be used as part of the basis for Nine Divines pantheon, though with some names and roles changed. (Most notably, and most disturbingly to the Altmer, the golden-eagle god Auri-El was changed into the draconic Akatosh in the Imperial pantheon.) They are also known to worship other divine beings who do not neatly fit into the categories of Aedra or Daedra, such as Trinimac, Syrabane, Phynaster, and Magnus.

* OurGodsAreDifferent: The primary reasons They generally follow the other Elvish races Aldmeri religion, which makes little if any distinction between gods and honored ancestors; the 'Aedra' they worshipped are considered the ancestors of everyone on Nirn by virtue of helping create the place, and some Aedra like Trinimac were not et'Ada, but Aldmer ancestors ascended to godhood through collective adulation. They also worshiped Magnus, who isn't an Aedra since he chickened out of the Mundus project. Most of the factions who split from the Altmer were over worship, with ancient Aldmer (the ones who remained being the Altmer worshipping the Aedra. Their Altmer) did so because of religious pantheon would be used as part of differences; the basis for Nine Divines pantheon, though with some names and roles changed. Impossibly tall vine-line buildings with swirling architecture Arcology rise high into the sky, where their glass/crystalline structures refract light to create rainbows in a manner reminiscent of "insect wings."

Online allows the player to visit the Summerset Isles, and while they don't quite live up to the crystal towers hype, they're still quite impressive, with gothic towers built of pale stone that catches the sunlight, stained glass, and fountains.
