The Speranza

    Lexell Kotov
Archmagos of the Kotov Explorator Fleet
  • Screw the Rules, I Make Them!: Reveals to Blaylock that he knew that Surcouf's Warrant of Trade was false, but chose to ratify it himself out of respect for the Catpain's resourcefulness and the balls he needed to pull this off. His response to Blaylock's outrage? "I am an Archmagos. I can do whatever I want."

Fabricatus Locum, Magos of the Cebrenia Quadrangle
  • Batman Gambit: His reason for joining the Expedition: if it fails, he will be able to press his own claim for Kotov's forges on Mars. If they succeed, then the Quest for Knowledge will have been advanced.
    • That being said, he's still implied to be hoping the expedition fails, indicating he really wants Kotov's forges.
  • Commander Contrarian: Tends to oppose Kotov whenever possible. Though, to be fair, the expedition has a statistically minute chance of succeeding, something the Mechanicum would find discouraging.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Does not think highly of Telok. The events of Gods of Mars vindicate him heavily here.
