Awesome / Half Upon a Time

• Jack gets one early on when dealing with the other boys in town who are after May's hand in marriage. He uses a clever ruse to scare half of them off, claiming an artifact his Grandfather possesses will kill all but the bravest of them. One young man, the town bully Robert, is savvy enough to recognize the ploy, but plays along, figuring it will leave May all to him, when he sticks his head in the bag, Jack knees him hard in the chin, rendering him unconscious. To the others gathered, it loos as though Robert just died, scaring them off.
