How The bonding aspect of 849's one for all advances its bonds:

  • SirLightKnight in a review of chapter 32 actually manages a believable Izuku level analysis of why and how Undying Bond forges and advances its bonds. (due to not being able to directly link to the comment a transcript is provided below)
    SirLightKnight: I’ve figured something OUT!

You sneaky, I caught you! The girls don’t realize it, but the quirk reacts to what they specifically like about him. And some of their own proclivities for being romanced. Dancing may be fun, but for Momo?

This shit is straight out of her favorite books.

For Ochaco? Being his Heroic self is what makes her ding, which is freaking pure, but that connection and understanding is the foundation behind the Heroic dare and do. It’s knowing he cares that much.

For Momo, it’s a classical romance. Dancing at a fancy gala and having him all to herself if only for a moment, lost in a dance. It’s so sweet it makes me wanna check my insulin.

Mei, it was inventor/support-based love. And from what I know of her character here and the manga, she shows how much she cares, (how much she wants to save others) through her inventions. And having him support that dream in his own way, is her kryptonite. She freaking loves it.

Tsu, ho ho ho, she is a family woman, and showing his Papa stripes is what probably makes her even more sweet on him. Tho, again, for me she’s a bit harder to pin down in terms of how she might progress. The others are more simple.

Toru likes to feel visible, remembered, understood. Something that was difficult to convey before, but is now so infinitely more simple. She’s bubbly affection incarnate, and if my love monitor is any good, it’s him displaying that similarly earnest open, happy love that blows her away.

Melissa is all about that validation, something she gets from Izuku 10000000%. Knowing he cares is more than enough. Knowing he understands and wants to give her everything is again that solid foundation everything else is built from.

Yui? I’m having a hard time with her, but I think there’s kinda a Komi can’t communicate vibe of shyness breaching the veil to get to that core. That otaku, goofy, lovable dork is what she loves most. Seeing that come out, and being able to understand how she feels about her niche hobbies in his Heroic fanboyishness gives her life.

Neijire finds it hard to connect with people, because she feels most people aren’t happy with her unbridled curiosity. To be fed it back is a relief, a penultimate joy. To talk, theorize, share, and pick up curiosity is like brain candy for her. And to be able to share that with someone who not only understands it, but can keep up (and isn’t annoyed by the questioning), and gives as good as he gets is the baseline for her. I’m not sure how she goes up.

Overall I’m sure the basics are true across the board, “Cuddle me, kiss me, hug me right and call me pretty.” Probably makes all these girls just a little happier at the end of the day. Izuku couldn’t have rolled better if he tried.

Oh? And Izuku himself? Haha oh that’s easy.

To know he feels loved at all, and to know it is all he ever needed.
    • the author's response, is a crowning moment of funny though...
griffinguy24: Okay, you rock! I wasn't even thinking that in terms of reaction, that was all unintentional! Seriously, that's some first class death of the author analysis and I love it!
