BWTW Chapter 20: The Boy Who Died Twice

Written By: Thomas
Proofread By: NM
POV: Michael
Deaths: Harry (2)

An author's note by the mysterious NM begins, with an oddly philosophical and surprisingly profound argument saying why we should follow Jesus. There's no cursing other people or saying who's going to Hell, simply a talk about what God has done for us.

Michael's fight with Harry begins, with Michael confident that Harry cannot win, and Harry believing that Michael's god does not exist. Michael, similarly doubtful of Harry's legend as "the boy who lived," asks how he should prove God's existence. Harry tells him to ask God to send lightning down to kill him.

Harry doesn't even finish the sentence, as God strikes him down, and his eyes go wide in fear of his coming punishment. Such is the way of the Prayer Warriors; the bigger the buildup, the more easily the opponent is defeated.

Michael and the other Christians from Hogwarts escape as the building collapses, which seems reminiscent of Dracula's castle collapsing. Draco, despite already having married Ebony, and never having interacted with Hermione, decides to marry Hermione. Meanwhile, Michael and Ebony, having vanquished the threat to Christianity (despite never having uncovered proof of Dumbledore's involvement with the government or any concrete information on the attack), decide to go back to America, having gotten a message from Percy Jackson.

But they never make it there. As they board the plane, they're stopped by some guards, who tell them that the Roman gods will have fun with them.

Thomas thanks NM for proofreading, Father Karl for his inspiration and Ebony for her support. He promises that his next fanfic, "Threat of Communism" will be better (which doesn't sound too hard), and that it will have millions of readers and converts to Christianity (which seems practically impossible, even disregarding its subject matter; I don't know of many fics that have much more than 10,000 Favorites or Follows, and I've never gotten far past 20 of each myself, despite being a vastly superior writer to Thomas.)

In any case, that's it for Battle With The Witches. Now on to Threat of Satanic Commonism

Next Installment: A new enemy arises in the past.
