BWTW Chapter 13: Plan B: Bedding the Enemy

Written By: Thomas
POV: Draco

Michael calls a meeting of the Christians at Hogwarts to discuss Ginny's death. Draco claims that he never liked her (contradicting his claim that he had dated her once), and that she was having sex with her brother (contradicting her claim that incest is taboo even for Satanists), which is part of the reason why he's glad she's dead.

Michael shares the sentiment, but believes that it is a setback for them, since they lost their one lead on how to get to Dumbledore. The only alternative is to have someone "put themselves forward" and get together with Harry Potter, but no one volunteers until Ebony steps forward, being willing to go to Hell for the sake of their mission(although one would think that fundamentalist Christians would rule out any tactic that goes against their beliefs, even considering that the Prayer Warriors have a surprisingly broad definition of what is acceptable to do to their enemies).

As IHeartThomasBrown pointed out, "A Mary-Sue named Ebony in a polygamous relationship with both Draco and Harry? This sounds mighty familiar…"

Michael approves of the plan, reassures Ginny that she's doing the right thing because God will forgive her, and promises to look for alternatives. Draco, however, angrily objects, saying that he doesn't want to see Ebony go to hell (one has to wonder why he didn't object to Michael's plan to do the same with Ginny), but is overruled two to one, with the story seemingly on Ebony and Michael's side. Angry and in "a satanic mood," he storms out and does a Skyward Scream.

After several minutes of praying for answers in vain, he gets no reply from God, but ends up encountering Voldemort himself. Voldemort tells Draco to kill Michael, because if Michael kills Dumbledore, Voldemort will no longer have anything to fight for; one would think that Voldemort would at least attempt an Enemy Mine with the Prayer Warriors, even if he planned to betray them later. If Michael refuses, Voldemort will kill Ebony, highly reminiscent of Voldemort's ultimatum for Ebony to kill "Vampire," lest Voldemort kill Draco. Voldemort leaves Draco after insisting that he's serious, and Draco falls into despair and panic.

I might as well say this now: this scene and Voldemort are never mentioned again.

The chapter ends with a prediction saying that the world will end on July 16, 2011, an apocalyptic prediction almost four years out of date as of this writing.

Next Installment: Michael turns his focus back to his short- and long-term plans.
