TEG Chapter 19: You Know What Winston Churchill Said About Hitler Invading Hell...

Written By: Thomas
Proofread By: Ebony
POV: Third person
'Deaths: Jerry (1), Percy (1)

The author declares that Ebony is his new proofreader, and will be able to prevent all mistakes. He's still angry at his "coward of a brother," Noah, but is confident that Noah will come back to Jesus and repent.

The author says that the story is coming to an end, so that he can focus on Battle with the Witches. He says that he's sad that the "beautiful" story is coming to an end, but he will tie up loose ends. Statements by authors bringing their works to an end can often be touching, in various parts a Tear Jerker (that the work is over), or a Crowning Moment of Heartwarming (heartfelt thanks to the readers and saying how much they enjoyed the process of writing) but this does not inspire any such emotion. I suppose we'd feel something if his fic was any good.

Percy and Jerry are celebrating their victories over the Greek gods, singing a song in glory to God. Luke, not wanting to spoil the moment, lets them finish before he tells them the news. He's succeeded in his mission, but the one god left (Incidentally, the Prayer Warriors are only getting started on the Greek Pantheon); Hades, Satan's most elite servant. It's somewhat telling that while Hade is portrayed negatively here, it doesn't stand out as much as it does in some works of fiction, since the other Greek gods, instead of having their misdeeds whitewashed, get portrayed as completely and utterly evil.

The only way to get to Hades is to go to Hell, which none of the Prayer Warriors want to do until Jerry and Percy volunteer, even if they remain there for all eternity. Jerry and Percy, after a great deal of prayer, say "Hail Satan" and have a soldier kill them so that they will go to Hell, apparently forgetting that (from what I've heard), it's possible, albeit difficult, to travel to Hell in the book series.

Next Installment: The Prayer Warriors must defeat Hades, the most powerful Greek god, in a single chapter. Luckily, they have the author on their side.
