Not the most climactic name to end the liveblog on.

Phase one of the loud party is pretty much identical to phase one of the quiet party, except that James is pleased with how loud things are.

Things diverge at phase two:

  • Joker and Cortez are at the bar. Cortez is hassling Joker about not bothering with firearms training. Fail Shep decides to bully Joker into going to the firing range for some practice after the party. Joker agrees, but only if Steve can beat him in a drinking contest. Cortez makes the mistake of letting Joker provide the drinks and can only take two shots of Mr. Moreau's Gargleblaster before yielding.
  • Liara and James are debating whether biotics or muscles are better. Liara argues that biotics are better because they can throw people and things around with little effort, while James argues that muscles are better because he is hot. In one of his most questionable decisions ever, Fail Shep sides with James.
  • EDI is asking Traynor how the Comm Specialist managed to be sexually attracted to EDI back when she was just a disembodied voice. After EDI unintentionally embarrasses her for a while, Traynor apologizes for saying that she wanted to roll around naked with EDI's voice. Except she never said that aloud until now.

Phase three:

  • EDI wants Joker to dance, but he doesn't want to. When Fail Shep offers to dance with EDI in his stead, Joker laughs for a minute (not exaggerating). Fail Shep tells EDI to not to bully Joker into doing something he doesn't want to do. Especially since getting him drunk is a lot easier (and sketchier too).
  • Traynor and Cortez are dancing. They make fun of Fail Shep's (lack of) dancing moves and that's about it. Getting everyone killed off has kind of made these parties boring.
  • James is doing pushups to show Liara how muscles are much better than biotics. He eventually gets board and he and Liara decide to dance instead.

At the end of phase three of either party version, Fail Shep calls everybody over for a group photo. There are a lot of awkward looking empty spaces in the photo.

Fail Shep wakes up the next morning with Liara. He walks around the apartment talking to his guests, who are all in various stages on hungoverness. There isn't too much difference between the aftermath of the quiet and loud parties - some characters seem to be more out of it in the loud aftermath, but that's about it.

For the record, I do not recommend doing Citadel in a Fail Shep run. You lose out on too much content and funny moments.

With shore leave over, the crew heads back to the Normandy to begin a series of events that culminates in fucking over the galaxy save the galaxy from the Reapers. Before they board, Liara and Fail Shep have a short conversation.

Liara: It's been a good ride, hasn't it?
Fail Shep: The best.

I doubt the denizens of the galaxy would agree with Fail Shep, but I have had fun doing this liveblog.

I would like to thank my readers for encouraging me to continue with this and providing me with valuable criticism, TVTropes for hosting this and Bioware for making this awesome trilogy.

And thank you for doing this. I think you can maximize the level of fail if you're willing to accept a few war assets, but this is plenty good also.

I enjoyed your blog! Sorry I didn't comment this segment, but I wouldn't be able to contribute much on ME 3.

And so, for real this time, ends Fail Shep's story. It's been a wild ride, and I've enjoyed reading alone. Thank you for sacrificing the universe for our own amusement, and I hope that you have a marvellous day.

Well done, I've been quietly following along for a while, and this has been a great source of enjoyment.
