Fail Shep talks to Jack and learns her backstory: she was raised in a Cerberus lab and was subjected to brutal experiments to enhance her biotic powers. She eventually managed to escape, but she is still haunted by what happened there. She wants Fail Shep to accompany her to the now abandoned lab on Pragia so she can blow it up with a "big fucking bomb."
The lab is currently being scavenge by the Blood Pack, but Fail Shep and Jack kick their asses and kill their commander, Kureck. While in the lab, they learn that other children were experimented on as well, and that those children actually suffered more than Jack.
It turns out that the Blood Pack were hired by Aresh, one of the survivors of the experiments. Aresh has gone mad and wants to restart the experiments. Fail Shep tells Jack to kill him, but Jack refuses, so Shep shoots Aresh, forcing Jack to shoot him as well so she can be the one to kill him. Jack sets the bomb and they get the hell out of there.
Back on the Normandy, Fail Shep asks Jack out.
