Wrex asks Fail Shep to recover some armor worn by his ancestors. Fail Shep goes to the uncharted world of Tuntau and recovers it, killing the turian criminal Tonn Actus in the process.
Fail Shep receives word from Admiral Hackett that someone is trying killing scientists who may be responsible for the deaths of Fail Shep's squad on Akuze. Fail Shep investigates the killings and learns that they are being carried out by Toombs, the only other survivor of Fail Shep's squad. Toombs was kidnapped by the scientists, who work for an organization named Cerberus, and was subjected to brutal experiments. Fail Shep allows Toombs to carry out his vengeance against Wayne, the last surviving scientists. Toombs kills himself.
Fail Shep and Ashley have been talking and realized that they have a lot in common. The two of them plan to get together when the mission is complete.
