Rahvin runs from Rand, and they destroy much of the palace trying to get to each other before both enter the dream world. Nynaeve and Moghedien are also there, and the latter is terrified that the two men are there in their real bodies, which drastically improves the damage they can do. Rahvin gets the drop on Rand, but Nynaeve distracts him and Rand kills him with Balefire. This also undoes the deaths of Mat, Aviendha, and Asmodean, making it a Crowning Moment Of Awesome and Crowning Moment Of Heartwarming in one.
More utterly awesome stuff here, unpredictable throughout and also featuring a way to bring everyone back that doesn’t feel like a cheat and was properly set up. I do wish Morgase had a chance to get her own revenge against Rahvin, but this is well done enough that I don’t want to complain about it.
