A woman is walking along when her X-Tranceiver rings.
Woman: Hello? Oh, Juniper, long time no see! Wait... Pokedex quest? For my kid? Sure, why not? Big green hat... I'm confident I can spot someone by that alone! OK, bye! -hangs up-
She barges into a nearby house, before realizing it's the wrong one and heading back to hers.
Woman: Lina! I have to tell you something!
Lina: ...What,Mom?
Mom: OK, Step 1: Do you want a Pokemon?
Lina: Oh... Sure, I guess...?
Mom: Yay! Step one complete! Now, do you know what a Pokedex is?
Lina: No, Mom, because you've sheltered me so much. Of course I know what a Pokedex is. >_>
Mom: Yay! Now, do you want one?
Lina: Sure, why not?
Mom: Yay, that's Step 2! OK, this lady named Professor Juniper wants to give you both...
Lina: ...Wait, that WASN'T a weird dream?
Mom: ...And she sent a girl in a big green hat to give you them! :D
Lina: ...Could you be more specific, Mom?
Mom: Nope, sorry. Now, go find her, she's probably lost!
Lina: Alright... -heads out the door-
And so, our bold heroine steps off to adventure!
