Notre Dame de Paris is a musical adaptation/Rock Opera based on Victor Hugo's novel of the same name. Now, for those of you who aren't familiar with the general plot, Notre Dame de Paris (called The Hunchback of Notre Dame in English) centres on the Love Quadlateral between the hunchbacked bellringer Quasimodo, his guardian, the clergyman Claude Frollo and Phoebus the soldier, who are all competing for the love of the beautiful romany dancer Esmeralda. There are other supporting characters, like the poet Gringoire (who is the narrator of the musical), and Clopin, the King of Gypsies. Disney made an animated musical version of it in 1996 that seriously screwed around with the plot, like making Frollo a judge instead of a cleric. This version is a live musical, and although it generally sticks closer to the plot, trims down a lot of the details to fit it into a few hours-long musical, like Djali, Esmeralda's pet goat (yes, he was in the original novel. Seriously.) being removed. I watched this online a few years ago, and you can watch the whole thing on Youtube.
