With the Proof of Courage and a ton of Diamond equipment in hand, it's time to finish this Challenge Dungeon. The second part is located where the Lunar Ruins are located in FFIV. Challengingway's also here and will let us in to another Challenge Dungeon.
This place is a maze with some random variance. At random, paths will change to block you off from treasure. They're only consumables anyway, so no big deal.
The first few rooms never change. After the fourth room, we enter the random area. Golbez has reached his level cap for me now, so I just run from the battles.
It's hard to say what I'm doing here, as the areas are a mess of hidden passages. We finally reach a Save Point and a boss.
Armstrong hits very hard, and is pretty much anti-magic. He'll counter anything you cast with Penetrating Laser, which will pretty much kill you. He can also cast Firaga and attack twice per turn or both of us at once.
We cast Blink and Haste on both of us, and Berserk on Golbez. From there, we just need to keep Blink up, stopping him from wrecking us with physicals, and heal up whenever he uses a special ability. At the end, he explodes, but only deals about 600 damage to us. Easy enough.
Time for our random reward. We get... the Rare Band. This thing is priceless if you are hunting Tails, it increases the rare drop rate. We can also find here a Defender, Aegis Shield, Megalixir and the final piece of Adamantite.
Well, next time, once I've gathered all the stuff from here and removed Fusoya's equipment, we'll start to gather all of the party together.
