Chapter 32:
Our group had arrived once again at Dread Isle. Fargus was asked to watch over Nils while we handled our business. As we neared the Dragon's Gate, a voice warned us to watch out, preventing us from being struck by lightning. It was Nils, who decided at the last moment to go along with us. The assailant was another one of Nergal's morphs. The final battle was beginning.
Merlinus, the man who has been keeping track of our goods, had used some of his purchases to buy a wagon back at Ostia. With this, he'll be able to stay along with us with his goods. This may prove useful...maybe.
Hector: Hector
charged to the northern path that led to the Gate.
Nils: Nils was requested to stay out of the way of the main fighting. His power helped us know when enemies were emerging from the forests and mountains though, so he was still a big help.
Serra
: A big part of my plan with Serra was to use the Warp Staff and teleport Hector to the leader. Unfortunately, I neglected to realize that the distance that can be traveled depends on the magical power of the person that uses the Staff. Serra's magical power has been really bad for some reason, so she can't warp people that far, making it almost useless on her. Lucius can't help either because his staff level isn't quite high enough...
Kent: Kent led the vanguard to the north. In the northern ruins, there was a cleric that said that he wanted tranquility. He joined our cause, if only to see what was going on in his home. He won't fight with us, but he did come with a couple useful items, including the incredibly potent Fortify staff

Lucius
: Like the others, he went north at first, but when some Cavaliers tried to sneak up on us from behind, he was forced to fall back to deal with them.
Dart
: Went north with everyone else.
Fiora: Fiora stuck towards the mountains near the northern path. Near some ruins, she found a magical ring, but we had no room for such things. She said that she hid it, so that if we made it through all of this, she may come back for it as a souvenir. To my dismay, Fiora was too weak to be able to do any real damage to Limstella. Instead, I had her fight off the ballistae and other enemies near her, to clear the road for the stronger units that were on their way.
Hawkeye: Part of the northern charge.
Marcus: Didn't really get into the fighting.
Legault: Stayed out of it.
Matthew: Saw no action.
Louise: She talked with her husband.
Pent: He found himself talking with his wife about the Archsage and the future

Oswin: It may not have been smart to bring him. His meatshielding capabilities are really not there anymore, and he's one of the slower people in the group. It was partially thanks to him that Lucius had to fall back and deal with the people coming from behind.
Jaffar: He took a Bolting from Limstella, but it didn't take him down.
Vaida: She was shot at a few times, but nothing came of it.
Limstella looked somewhat similar to Sonia
. Unlike Sonia though, she dressed plainly and spoke without any emotion. After dealing with her Bolting attacks, Kent was able to face off with her, with Hawkeye and Dart supporting him with Hand Axes. Things got really dicey near the end; if Kent hadn't dodged her last attack that would have been it. Fortunately, we were able to pull through.
Before we made our way into the Gate itself, Nils explained to us everything about him and Ninian. After the Dragons
lost the war in this world, they made their way through the Gate and found themselves in another world, with few humans. There they were able to make a stable home for themselves. One day however, Ninian and Nils heard a voice calling them to come through the Dragon's Gate. They claimed that the voice sounded like that of an old friend, but when they traveled back through, all they found was Nergal. The trip robbed them of most of their energy, and in order to stay alive, they had to place their power into a Dragonstone and take on a human shape. The two of them managed to escape, and wondered around the continent, staying away from Nergal's grasp. It was here that Lyn first met the duo. They were recaptured, and even considered killing themselves so as to not be forced to open the Dragon's Gate. It was Eliwood's father who kept their hopes alive with stories of his wife and son. From the very beginning, Ninian and Nils had faith in Eliwood and the rest of us. We have to do our duty and finish off Nergal once and for all
