Chapter 27:
Lyn's skills were very useful in the end, and we soon found ourselves gazing on the Black Fang Fortress. As we got closer, we heard some of the Fangs whispering. One was the lady that met with the king earlier, Sonia. She was speaking with her daughter and husband about a job that the King of Bern had for the Fangs. Sonia wanted the young girl, Nino, to take care of it along with the assassin that was at the Dragon's Gate earlier, apparently named Jaffar. Sonia's mission for them was to assassinate Prince Zephiel. Both Sonia's husband and Jaffar seemed to be against the idea of Nino joining for the mission, but Sonia insisted that this is how it needed to be, and Nino had few complaints. They also mentioned that the "item" was being held at this site, and that needed to be guarded. Before we were able to decide what to do next, the guardian of the fortress, Kenneth, appeared in front of us. Our way out was sealed, and the only way to escape was to defeat him.
Hector: Hector got his hands a little dirty with the fray, though he tried to let the others get more opportunities to get stronger.
Serra: Matthew really owes Serra
his life, because she saved him twice, along with keeping everyone's health up. She's THIIIIS close (literally 1 exp) to being fully ready to become a Bishop.
Kent: Kent
was given the special mission of fighting the Armored Knights that were in a small building near where we began. The snow stopped a short while after he completed his task, so he took the outdoor route and faced off against multiple wyvern riders.
Lucius: Lucius
did a little healing and helped fight off some of the archers.
Dart: Dart
followed behind Fiora into the fortress, taking out a Wyvern rider along the way. From there, he helped back up Fiora along with Hawkeye.
Fiora: I gave Fiora a skeleton key to open the way into the fortress. She then fought off some of the Wyverns that tried to stop her before defeating the Bishop that had been pestering Matthew. From there he flew ahead to take out a Hero that was waiting farther down. Not missing a beat, she eventually took down the Swordsmaster that was protecting Kenneth. And to top it off, she single handedly defeated Kenneth
himself, easily making her the heroine of the day

Hawkeye: Hawkeye
was part of the lead group with Fiora and Dart. He helped Dart keep the enemies off of the rest of the group.
Marcus: Followed along, but wasn't needed.
Oswin: Followed along, but wasn't needed.
Legault: Followed along, but wasn't needed.
Matthew: Matthew took a lot of abuse in the beginning, thanks to a mage that had a Bolting Tome and a Bishop that knew Purge. Fortunately, a patch of trees combined with Serra's Barrier staff helped to keep him alive until the others were able to defeat those pests.
Louise: She stayed close to her husband. Got shot at once but nothing came of it.
Pent: Stayed with his wife, and didn’t get into trouble.
A few of the troops mentioned seeing a scuffle happening in another building, but we tried to stay away from that, focusing on our own mission. Apparently the leader of these rogues was the one that had the Fire Emblem the entire time. With the gem in hand and the way out clear, we hurried back down from the mountains to try to stop the assassination. As we left, Oswin delivered a message
to Hector from his brother. Hector really seems to be worried about him after having to deal with both of his parents dying of illness.
