Pikachu: The pokeball's stasis effect... It's a form of immortality... but I didn't want it.

Yellow: I heard Team Rocket was active here too. I wonder if they're still around... Better keep an eye out.
{Yellow goes into the cave system under the mountain. A wild Clefairy and Zubat attack them, but they are beaten and Magikarp goes up in level. On the ground, Yellow finds TM 12 - Water Gun}
Yellow: Strange, neither of you can learn this. Looks like we'll have to keep using the Bait and Switch strategy.
Bug Catcher: Suspicious men are in the cave. What about you?
Yellow: What do you think?

Bug Catcher: You got me! I saw them! I'm sure they're from Team Rocket!
Yellow: An evil gang... If we see them, we'll have to fight them.

{Yellow finds an HP Up item. It can boost a pokemon's statistics, but he decides not to use it just yet. He retreats back to the Pokemon Center. On the way there and back Magikarp gains another level}
Yellow: I used most of my Potion stocks against Brock. We're going to need to save the rest for during battles.
{On his next trip, he goes past that tunnel's entrance.}
Super Nerd: What! Don't sneak up on me! {Lv 11 Magnemite, Lv 11 Voltorb}
Super Nerd: My Pokemon won't do! I have to find stronger Pokemon.
Magikarp: What he needs is to train the ones he has!
Pikachu: You know, I haven't fought another Electric type in a long time. Fighting with my siblings always took a while when nothing interrupted. I'm glad I learned other moves.
{Yellow finds a Rare Candy: an item that can raise a pokemon's level immediately. He decides to save it for when training takes longer. He also finds an Escape Rope, which he could use to exit the cave quickly. While fighting wild Zubats, Magikarp gains a level.}
Bug Catcher: Go through this cave to get to Cerulean City! (Lv 10 Caterpie, Lv 10 Metapod, Lv 10 Caterpie)
Bug Catcher: I lost. Zubat is tough! But, it can be useful if you catch one.
Lass: Wow! It's way bigger in here than I thought! (lv 11 Oddish, Lv 11 Bellsprout)

{Yellow finds a TM01: Mega Punch. Pikachu can learn it, but Yellow decides against it, for now. He also finds an Ether. That's all there is in this chamber, so he goes back to the main floor.}
Youngster: Did you come to explore too? (Lv 10 Rattata, Lv 10 Rattata, Lv 10 Zubat)
Youngster: Losing stinks! I came down here to show off to girls.
{Yellow avoids a Hiker, and finds one of the Moon Stone meteors that the mountain has become famous for. With this, he has fully explored the first floor, and found one more staircase. He retreats back out to prepare then comes back, planning to get through in one final rush. On this rush, Magikarp grows to level 13 from a battle with a wild Paras.}
Rocket: Little kids should leave grown-ups alone!

Pikachu: "Regenerate"? Is that... they could bring it back to life?
Yellow: Pikachu, I think we're in the clear. Team Rocket didn't make it this far, so that guy should have been the last Trainer. In the meantime, have a Potion.
Pikachu: Ah.
Super Nerd: Hey, Look out! They're going after you!
{Two people walk up to Yellow}
Red Haired Woman: That fossil is Team Rocket's!
Blue Haired Man: Surrender now or prepare to fight!
Yellow: Just who do you think you are?!
Pikachu: They seem to be something above the minions we've fought so far.

Purple: Eh, it wasn't hard. At least it brought my Pokemon up to speed. {Especially Sandshrew. I can't wait to see Yellow's face when he sees I've got a counter for Pikachu.)
Supervisor: As promised, here is your prize: a solid gold nugget! By the way, how about joining Team Rocket?
Purple: Could you repeat that? I'm not sure I heard you right.
Recruiter: I'm asking if you want to join Team Rocket. We're a group dedicated to evil using Pokemon.
Purple: Yeah, I met a few of you guys in Mount Moon. They were even weaker than the regular trainers. I'm not impressed.
Recruiter: You think you can do better? How would you want to help rule the world?
Purple: Pshaw! Only kids care about saving the world or taking over. All I care about is getting the Gym Badges and filling up the Pokedex.
Recruiter: (Doesn't care... I can work with that) The Pokedex eh? So you'll be catching a lot of Pokemon, more than you'd ever use, right? You know, if we joined forces, we'd both benefit. You could borrow from our Pokemon stocks to fill up the holes in your little encyclopedia. And we could put all the other Pokemon you don't need to good use! What do you say? I think I could get a good battler like you a leadership position...
Purple: ...
