I can't think of a reference for Elendia VI

Last time, Hector's evil master plan began, and Ein's team are the only ones who can stop it. To that end, they must travel to the Maze of Shadows.

First, though, they'll need to get ready, which requires one last trip around Elendia. So, here we go.

Also, just this once I remembered to check Einherjar's new power level on time. It now has a power of 224 for normal attacks, with Disaresta's power being 220.

At any rate, since this is the last Elendia update, I feel I should talk to everyone and see what they have to say about the approaching end of the world.

CoCo doesn't seem to know about the problem. In fact, she's talking about an upcoming carnival. Downstairs, Fia just talks about how she filled Graham in on the issue at hand, and how only Ein can save Riviera.

Kyle and Mylene are, as usual, incredibly boring. They just talk about how they don't want to have to live in fear of demons. Gill and Molan, meanwhile, are quite worried that Riviera might be destroyed. Fortunately, we're here to stop that from happening.

Chappi is still too focused on his work to care that the world's ending. Heck, he's still prepared to work with any materials I have! As such, I give him the Aquarium Fragment I picked up last chapter, which he makes into a mighty Manalith Dagger. This thing's probably quite useful to anyone doing a Lina playthrough, given that her attack with it will probably do around 400-600 damage. As it stands, I drop the Mage Ring.

At the Crystal Caverns, Ritz has nothing interesting to say. He just talks about how much he likes his work. Claude, meanwhile, has reached a breakthrough in his study of magic and its potential applications.

In the back room, NaNa is finally taking a break from her work. Soala, meanwhile, actually has something of interest for us: she takes the Black Feathers and makes them into the Fallen Fan, a rather interesting weapon that Serene and Cierra can master. It has special attacks when used by anyone but Ein:

  • Fia will damage herself in order to raise her Magic. I suppose that could be useful.
  • Lina will attack the nearest line of enemies for exactly 99 damage, and they have absolutely no way of negating it. Lame.
  • Serene will just raise her Strength.
  • Cierra performs a 3-hit fire spell against the enemy farthest from her with a power of 100. It has the Mot-Vit effect and removes status buffs from its target.

At any rate, I drop the Silver Moon in favour of it, then head to Undine Spring. NoNo is rather worried about Ein, but that's about it for her reaction to this mess. Meute, meanwhile, talks about how the water "won't listen to her" and this is supposedly a bad omen. LuLu just talks about how Ein has to save Riviera, though a second conversation has her basically confirming that she's fallen for Ein.

Rebecca has actually heard rumours about the world coming to an end, and is thinking of moving away. Mursya is worried that there won't be any more fish if Riviera's gone, though that would probably be the least of her worries. Reiche, meanwhile, notes that things started going wrong when Ein showed up, though this doesn't actually lead to anything.

Well, that's rather disappointing. Less than half the population actually realized that the world's ending, and some of them don't even notice anything wrong. Whatever. Time to go see Graham about advancing the plot.

Before entering, I make sure to talk to Ladie, who is boring as usual. She basically just acknowledges Ein as a "true warrior". At any rate, I enter the house and advance.

Fortunately, Fia already filled Graham in on the plot. Ein mentions Hector's plot to call forth Seth, which Graham notes would lead directly to the Retribution. Graham expresses concern about Ein's Grim Angel status, but Ein is just happy to fight for Riviera. Anyway, it doesn't take long for the discussion to end, and we're on our way soon enough.

The advent of the Retribution draws near...

The Maze of Shadows, floating in Riviera's skies is an ominous reminder of the devastation to come.

Many powerful forces await Ein: the Grim Angel, Malice; Hector, one of the Seven magi; and the destructive Seth.

In order to pass judgment on Hector and protect the future of Riviera, Ein once again enters Heaven's Gate...

...where it all began...

Thus begins Chapter 7: Within the Darkness. Our goal is simple: Storm the Maze of Shadows, find Hector, and fuck his shit up.
