Went back and did some skating today too. Not bad, there was a variety of people there but not too many. I was doing pretty well. However, about 20 mins. in I took a spill while trying to do a three-turn too fast and ripped my pants with my skate. I have a little bit of a cut on my leg and banged my elbow (ow), but it was mostly the pants I was concerned with. They're not expensive pants, but I happen to like them, they fit well and I had them hemmed so they're actually the proper length. So I left the rink (I wasn't going to continue skating with ripped pants...) and went on a search for iron-on patches. Which I finally found in the fourth store I looked in, and now my pants are almost as good as new again (thank goodness they're just plain black, which is easy to find a patch for... and that patches are cheap).
Sigh.
