Prologue: Welcomes and information

Hello, all who are currently reading this! This is the opening page of what will be the storage place for all my liveblogs of the Fire Emblem series of games. In here, I will be updating chapter by chapter as I play through the games and hopefully make those updates as fun to read as possible!

The next page will be a Table of Contents, since this will eventually get fairly large, and it will make categorizing which games are being covered in which liveblog installments much easier.

Continue forth onto the next page, and hopefully enjoy your time reading!

I think the main reason why I don't use Archers is their pitiful movement. An attack range of two does not make up for a move range of five. It's hard to get Archers to the enemy before my other units finish them off. And their speed isn't good enough to dodge melee hits. Mages have the same problem. That said, Snipers are surprisingly good and used a lot by me.

It's always so hard to decide who to promote, but the Archers => Snipers is a good bet. I really liked how Tellius games promoted you automatically at level 21, without need of a Master Seal. It's a shame that wasn't brought over to Awakening.

Yeah, their 5 movement surprised me upon first playing Shadow Dragon. I was so confused as to why they made their movement so slow, considering every other bow unit had at least 6 move. Seems so stupid.

Thankfully, Master Seals are really plentiful in this game, so that isn't too much of an issue, although I do wish they kept the auto-promotion at level 21 form the Tellius games, since that was so much simpler. Of course, if they did that, they would need to remove all types of grinding possibilities, since otherwise you could have insanely powerful units by the earliest point that you could grind.

Personally, I always saw it as ambiguous as to if Lorenz killed himself or just died of his preexisting wounds. He was already heavily wounded when Marth got to him and all.

Also, yeah, wow, Lang is so openly a dick.

Oh he was? I could see that from his dialogue, but I didn't really notice that myself. That's fairly interesting.

I am not sure if he is wounded in game (it would be a nice touch if he was), but in story, yeah. At the very least, in Mystery it's at least shown through his equipment that he is on his last legs: his only weapon is a Broken Lance.
